Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t return to Manchester United: He misses the first training session

For the second summer in a row, Cristiano Ronaldo is looking for a new team. Last year, he left Juventus and returned to Manchester United and he could be on the move again this transfer window, although there aren’t too many options for him.

The Portuguese forward has informed Manchester United of his desire to leave and now he has missed their first training session of the summer, citing family reasons.

His contract has one more year to run and Manchester United are standing firm in saying that the No.7 needs to join pre-season training when they’ll play matches in Thailand and Australia.

The problem is that there aren’t many clubs that can afford the 37-year-old’s salary, while his age also makes this a complicated operation.

Even if he has produced goals and good individual performances over the past couple of seasons, his teams haven’t performed well with him in the line-up.

In 2021, Ronaldo phoned Real Madrid about a possible return, but Los Blancos refused. This year, the directors at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu don’t even expect a call.

As much as Real Madrid still love Ronaldo as a player and a person, they just won a Champions League trophy by playing as a team and they won’t jeopardize that chemistry. Real Madrid were amazing last season and their matches were so much popular among football fans around the world, for betting.

If Ronaldo truly wants to leave Manchester United, there are only a couple of possible landing spots.

He could move to another Premier League club or to PSG, as these are the only teams that can afford him.

Bayern Munich have also been mentioned as a possible destination, but MARCA has learned that the German club wouldn’t move for Ronaldo, not even if they lost Robert Lewandowski this summer.

That means there aren’t many options for Ronaldo, who may have no other option but to join pre-season training with Manchester United and Erik ten Hag.
